Apples, Hats, and Hair

Every day the twins ask for activities.  Well H, the girl, asks for activities and G goes along even if he isn't interested.  This week I planned an H week, which excited the girl since it's "her" week.  We glued hearts onto an uppercase and lowercase H and made a hat and hair picture.

H is for hat and hair and my attempt at a witch face.

They also used tongs to move apples from one apple dish to another.  This was a huge hit and they repeated it over and over.

I'm a Planner

I am a planner.  It was one of my favorite things about being a teacher.  Every Sunday I would haul out all my materials and write up the weekly plans.  Without a plan things like this happen.

A quick breakfast.

A late afternoon pajama party and a "picked up" playroom.

Other times I have methodically researched and planned and my results are less than stellar.
The raised beds my husband made.
The plants I grew from seedlings.

The carrots that grew all season.

Still other times my plans turn out just as I imagined.

Painting with corn syrup and loving it.

At this point you're probably wondering why on Earth I have a blog and I might be wondering the same thing.  My plan (my favorite word) is to document the ups and downs of a not so perfect mom.  What we do all day in a house of three under three.

Funny Lady

I am the funniest person I know just ask my husband.  He has heard me tell him I am funny for 10 years and maybe one day he will actually start to believe it.  One would have to believe I am funny crazy since we have three children all under three.  We have Merlot and Martini, the twins and Cab, the baby.  All our little surprises.  We have since learned where babies come from...a night of drinking, so we take precautions now.

Anyway in the words of Brother Ali, "I love the life I live, my laughter and my tears/I don't know where it's goin but I like it like it is."
